With a major port and hubs of production for a number of sectors, and over 43,000 production locations listed on OS Hub in the greater LA area alone, this crisis has and will undoubtedly affect workers, communities, and organizations connected to these Southern California supply chains. In an effort to help supply chain stakeholders looking to map affected communities and coordinate on responsible support and relief efforts, Open Supply Hub will be providing sets of pre-drawn maps of affected areas, updated to reflect larger shifts in conditions as they occur.

Open Supply Hub is an open data platform that is collectively built and maintained. The production locations listed in these maps are only the locations that have been submitted to OS Hub by supply chain stakeholders or found by the OS Hub Research Team. We make no guarantees that these maps are fully comprehensive, but hope that they can be a free and actionable resource.

1. Search for your organization name under “Data Contributors” and then under Country, select United States.
2. Zoom in and draw more specific regions/neighborhoods/industrial areas to narrow your search.
3. Download your full area dataset to see who else is connected to each facility and coordinate on response efforts.

Trying to Search for One Particular Facility?
Whether you are receiving your own reports from stakeholders on the ground or investigating follow-ups from news stories as they come to light, you can search for affected facilities in OS Hub to learn more about their operations and which other stakeholders are connected to them. Simply type the factory name into the “Facility Name or OS ID” field, as pictured below:

Taking Collaborative Action
Once you know which locations you are looking into and who your collaborators might be, leverage resources from experts on crisis response, like multi-stakeholder initiatives and civil society partners in your network, to understand what kinds of interventions you can take together, and how to support these communities in the near, medium, and long-term.
Consider connecting with initiatives such as the American Logistics Aid Network, which has shared their supply chain resources for the LA wildfires, or the logistics platform Flexport based in California, which may provide additional support during this ongoing situation.
