In late November/early December 2025, storms, cyclones and floods have hit a number of regions of Asia, with devastating effects. If you are looking to understand which production locations have been affected, this resource outlines how to search OS Hub in those regions.
Production Locations Affected by the Storms and Floods
Knowing that large numbers of production facilities are located in the regions hit by the storms, if you are looking to understand which facilities were affected and/or who you could collaborate with to provide support to workers and local communities, this search in Open Supply Hub outlines the approximate areas* most affected. They include locations in Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam. While not every facility in the region is mapped, as of December 2025, over 4800 were listed in OS Hub, and accessible for free for anyone to search.
NOTE: If you are downloading these search results for relief efforts and hit your credit limit, please reach out to support@opensupplyhub.org with a brief description of the work you are doing and the number of credits you need, and we’ll support you in getting access.
How to Interpret this Supply Chain Data:
Open Supply Hub is an open data platform that is collectively built and maintained. The production locations listed in this map are only the locations that have been submitted to OS Hub by supply chain stakeholders or found by the OS Hub Research Team. We make no guarantees that these maps are fully comprehensive, but hope that they can be a free and actionable resource. As we receive feedback and information from stakeholders regarding the data mapped in these regions, we will continue to make updates in the coming days.
If you have specific questions about how to interpret something you see in OS Hub, check out our Frequently Asked Questions or email support@opensupplyhub.org.
Want to Search under Different Parameters?
Looking to understand how the storms have affected particular production locations or zones, and the communities they touch? Want to coordinate on collaborative information-gathering and response efforts? Here are some examples of ways you can make use of Open Supply Hub’s free and open dataset to get started:
Understanding Your Organization’s Connection to Affected Production Locations
Have you contributed a dataset to Open Supply Hub (OS Hub) and want to see which locations in that dataset could be affected? Follow these steps to further refine the above search:
- Click on this link to access the pre-built search outlining the area impacted.
- In the filters on the left, type in/select your organization or the organization(s) you are focusing on in the Data Contributor field. Note: If you are searching for multiple organizations and only want to see the facilities they share, check the “Show only shared facilities” box that will appear once multiple Data Contributors are selected
- Hit Search. You will now receive search results containing the listed facilities in the impacted region that are connected to the Data Contributor(s) you entered. From here, you can download that list into a CSV or Excel file to see whether other organizations are connected to those facilities, for potential collaboration around relief efforts.
Learn more about how to perform these, and other searches, in our step-by-step search guide.
Trying to Search for One Particular Facility?
Whether you are receiving your own reports from stakeholders on the ground or investigating follow-ups from news stories as they come to light, you can search for affected facilities in OS Hub to learn more about their operations and which other stakeholders are connected to them. Simply type the location name into the “Facility Name or OS ID” field, as pictured below:

Once you select your facility, follow this video to navigate to the stakeholders connected to a facility profile:
Taking Collaborative Action
Once you know which locations you are looking into and who your collaborators might be, leverage resources from experts on crisis response, like multi-stakeholder initiatives and civil society partners in your network (like this post and resource from the Ethical Trading Initiative), to understand what kinds of interventions you can take together, and how to support these communities in the near, medium, and long-term.
We hope this resource provides a starting point for information-sharing and collaboration during a rapidly changing situation, which will continue to develop and require different levels of response and support in the coming weeks and months. If you have any questions, feedback or suggestions about how to make use of this data to aid in response work, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team at info@opensupplyhub.org. Our hearts are with the affected communities, and our deepest appreciation and gratitude to those who are supporting them.
*Sources used for mapping affected areas:
- All of Sri Lanka is included in the OS Hub preset map, due to the widespread nature of the flooding documented via Google Maps.
- Regions selected within Thailand and Malaysia were based on this AHA Centre resource, as well as Asia News Today and The Guardian.
- In Indonesia and Vietnam, regions were selected by cross-referencing various resources with BBC reports.
